With the winter weather settling in for the season, the cold is wreaking havoc on our skin. Here at Indulgence we have the tools, tips and tricks to keep skin looking glowing and fresh all year round, no matter the weather outside. As great fans of Bare Minerals make-up, here’s a few tips as recommended by their top make-up artists…
– To keep foundation with a long lasting finish, try layering your Mineral Veil between your usual base colour. Our professionally trained make-up artists in the salon use the silky base Prime Time all over clean, moisturised skin, before sweeping on a small amount of Mineral Veil. On more oily-prone areas, take a concealer brush, swirl a little Mineral Veil and press onto the area of concern. This packs the Veil into any large open pores and helps to disguise them once concealer and foundation are added on top. Then continue your usual make-up regime, whether you prefer to add foundation first, then conceal problem areas and blemishes after, or vice versa. Finish with a final layer of Mineral Veil to keep skin looking fresh.
– If the cold weather is leaving you feeling a little dull on the outside, we have a great brightening tip to help combat Winter Blues. Once a base has been applied, take a high lighting crème or primer, and add a small amount underneath the eyebrow arch, along the brow bone and down the cheek bones. These areas of the face help catch the light, drawing attention to the contours of the face and highlighting the bone structure. As well as giving you a gorgeous, natural glow, you’ll have supermodel cheekbones with the dab of a finger!
– Eyes feeling a little heavy? With the dark mornings and even darker evenings drawing in, it’s hard to keep your eyes looking awake. We recommend using a little of the Bisque concealer over eyelids and around the eye area to brighten and revitalise. Add your usual foundation and base, and any eye shadows you may use. This tip will also help eye make-up stay put for hours.
